What is Recognition of Prior Learning?

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that allows you to show Gymnastics Australia that you already have the knowledge and skills to safely coach gymnastics. If you are able to show evidence of your coaching abilities, you can gain a Gymnastics Australia Coach Accreditation. 

If you believe that you have already acquired the competencies as set down for a particular Gymnastics Australia accredited course, you may formally apply to have these skills recognised. Please read on for further details and how to apply.

How Do I Apply?

Prior to commencing an RPL, please familiarise yourself with Gymnastics Australia's current RPL Policy and procedure document that can be downloaded below.

Once you are familiar with the RPL process, please complete the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Application form .

Please be aware that RPL’s typically take a minimum of 1-3 months to complete, and you are not guaranteed to receive an accreditation.
